TFA Legal Protection Insurance

The TFA and LPG are working together to provide this unique insurance which is only available to TFA members at a cost, including insurance premium tax, of £395.00 for standard cover and £675.00 for enhanced cover (enhanced cover includes tenancy succession disputes).

The TFA Legal Protection Insurance provides a cost-effective solution to potential legal disputes affecting you and your farm, including your farm tenancy.  In summary, the areas covered are:

  • Arbitration and Tribunal hearings on tenancy disputes including rent reviews, repairs notices, notices to quit and end-of-tenancy disputes.
  • A range of other legal disputes affecting your farm business including contract disputes.
  • Tax and VAT inspections.
  • Policy holders are covered for up to £50,000 in legal costs per claim, with no limit on the number of claims.

How to Make a Claim

TFA members can click here to download a claim form. Please note, this form will require a digital signature.  The following guidance should help you with this:

How to digitally sign the Claims Form

Click Signature Box

This opens a Sign with a Digital ID pop-up

To create a Digital ID

Click Configure new Digital ID

Click Create a new Digital ID

Click Save to File option

Enter Name and Email Address (ignore other fields)

Save to your pc or operating system

Once saved

Click Sign

Enter your password to complete process
