TFA EXPANDS ITS ADVISORY CAPACITY

The Tenant Farmers Association is pleased to announce that it has expanded its Head Office advisory team to meet the growing demand for advice from TFA members.

From today, Gemma Bumford takes up the newly created role of Agricultural Policy Adviser for the TFA.

TFA Chief Executive George Dunn said "I am really pleased that Gemma is joining our Head Office team.  Gemma is a qualified chartered surveyor and joins us following a period of time at Strutt and Parker’s office in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.  Not only will she be providing advice to TFA members on a wide range of agricultural, agri-environment and rural development policy issues, she will also have an important input into the TFA’s policy development work and have a specific responsibility for overseeing policy developments in the Welsh Assembly Government.”

Every week the TFA has close to 100 advisory contacts with its members on a range of subjects and issues mostly by telephone but also by fax, e-mail and letter.

"Our advisory services are highly valued by TFA members and it is important that we are able to respond to the increasing demand that our members are placing upon the Association," said Mr Dunn.

Commenting on her new role, Miss Bumford said "I'm really excited about joining the TFA at this time. The tenanted sector is very important to the agricultural industry and I look forward to supporting it through my role with the TFA”.
